This time around it was Cristina's turn to present the famous producer Emilio Estefan Jr. a very well deserved award honoring his dedication towards cultural endowement. Emilio was named Citizen of the Year by the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce recognizing him for his contribution towards the development of cultural arts in South Florida. Cristina hosted the event which took place at the Fontainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach and was pleased to have been able to honor her good friend Emilio with such an award. Emilio was accopanied by his wife, children and close friends. At one point in the evening, he even played the acordion, as he did many, many years ago when he was just starting out as a musician with the Miami Sound Machine.
